Jace looked down. He stood at the door and continued on, “You know Doctor S?”.
Sage remained calm, “Yes.”
“You know her very well?”
“Yes.”
“How well do you know her?”
Sage frowned, “Are you unwell?”
“Yes.” Jace added, “I need her to check on my recovery status and thank her for saving me three years
ago.”
“No need for that.” Sage had yet lost her patience and glanced at his leg, “You seem fine rushing from
Salem to here. You don’t seem ill at all. There’s a clinic down the road if you wish to see a doctor.
Goodbye.”
Jace seemed determined to not drop this, “You can’t be sure of that, You’re not Doctor S.” Jace added
before Sage could throw her temper at him, “Three years ago, was it you that invited Doctor Sto
Nadeem City to operate on me?” He stared intently at Sage, trying hard to read every single expression
she had on her.
