After the New Year, Sage became very busy again and was caught up in work.
The Yuriel Group was getting back on track. She did not have to stay in Yuriel Group all the time, but
she was still traveling back and forth between Nadeem City and Salem City.
The Yuriel Group and Norah Group were working together on many projects. With her as the
middleman, it saved a lot of trouble.
Sage was a person who did not like to hog the work. She tried to delegate any possible task to others
to segregate duties. Fortunately, she had Finn and Hunter in the Norah Group. Meanwhile, Henry and
Zachary were gradually getting the hang of their work and were able to help her with some things.
After the team integration, each department had its own role to play. This eliminated a lot of
cumbersome processes to a certain extent. During the process, Sage found many good talents in the
Yuriel Group. After interacting with them, she learned that many of the middle management were
trained by Jace. Whenever the leader changed, the followers changed.
The senior management team worked with Grandpa Yuriel a long time ago. They could not keep up
with the times, but they did not want to step down from their positions.
When Jace was still around, he had already found them all successors. He was just waiting for the
senior managers to settle down and not cause any trouble. In his plan, he planned to let the Yuriel
Group move into a new trajectory soon.
Zayne explained to Sage that Jace’s initial effort to make drastic reforms was met with strong
resistance.
The Yuriel Group was a long-established company. There were too many complicated relationships
between the people in the company. Many of them watch Jace growing up. There were a lot of factors
involved.
Most of the senior managers held shares in the company. It was hard to deal with them. If not careful, it
would be troublesome.
However, Jace’s death changed things. It threw the Yuriel Group into crisis but also opened a
breakthrough for change.
The senior managers realized they were getting old and unable to keep up. Finally, they were willing to
step down from their high positions.
Besides, Sage was known for her notorious ways of dealing with people. She could even kick her own
uncles out of the company without mercy, let alone these senior managers. While Jace was still
around, they could leverage their connection with Jace and stay in their positions. However, Sage did
not care at all. She always spoke nicely and gently, but her means were very tough.
If they retired voluntarily, they would at least enjoy their retirement benefits. Sage provided them with
the best terms for retirement. She would agree to anything as long as reasonable.
Whatever their demand, she would give it all to them. “I’m generous, so don’t make it hard for me.”
Sage politely invited them in one after another. After having a cup of tea, she sent them away politely
with a calm demeanor.
Henry and Zachary watched beside them while covered in a cold sweat. They finally understood how
decisive and intimidating she was.
They could feel the murderous aura in Sage.
Their nice former sister-in-law of the past seemed to have disappeared from their memory without a
trace.
However, the dominant Miss Sage was still a softie in Tim’s eyes. “Your punch is so soft. Are you trying
to massage the enemy?”
Tim stared at Sage in the ring with a stern face. He furrowed his brow hard.
Yale was also watching Sage with a frown. He was not frowning at Sage’s soft punches but at Tim’s
loud voice.
For the past two months, Sage had been practicing under Tim’s watch. She had changed different
sparring partners. As the difficulty increased, it became harder and harder for her to fight. Sage had
been training in the fighting ring for two hours. She was drenched in sweat. She tied her hair up in a
ponytail and wore a white hairband on her forehead. She was full of energy at first but became so
exhausted after the long training. When she took a break, Sage clung to the guardrail and curled her
hands like a kitten paw.” Tim, my paws are going to break.”
She looked at Tim with dewy eyes, trying to look cute. Unfortunately, Tim was still unmoved. He said
indifferently, “If you break your paw, put it back on. Keep practicing until you’re out of breath!”
