Will history repeat itself?
Her kidnappers were diminished by her father and big brother long ago. Even if they’re not dead, they
were exiled from the nation. Could there be anyone they missed out on? And who was the bearded
man?
He looked strange yet familiar. And how was Sienna connected to all these people? Sage had so many
questions unanswered.
Laura opened her mouth hazily, “Hey you guys, we were just on our way to the spring waters, and we
weren’t peeking on purpose, why are you making such a big deal out of this?” “Shut the hell up!” One of
the younger men yelled, “Did we permit you to speak up? I’ll cut your tongue off!”_“Fine, I’ll keep my
mouth shut then,” Laura leaned over to Sage’s side and said, “My waist, it hurts.. Sage thought of
something but remained calm, “Lean on me.” “Sit upright! Did I ask you to move? Are you trying to get
yourselves killed?” He scowled at them and dragged Laura to sit up. Laura couldn’t stay up and she
was unstable. She kept complaining about her pain and suddenly, Sage strangled the driver with a rope
and Laura knocked the young man with her head simultaneously.
The vehicle took an energency corner causing a skid mark on the roads. In front of them was a black
car. Sienna looked up from the middle of two legs of a man, and her mouth was still wet. She looked
back and yelled, “Mister Jekyll, something had happened!”
The bearded man sat back calmly pretending to be asleep. “Don’t worry, just let them be.” He pressed
Sienna down to finish his business.
Sage took off her blindfold and drove the car herself. As she was about to press on the brake pedal,
she realized it was malfunctioning. The engine was tampered with and a ticking sound could be heard.
“Laura, there’s a bomb in the car!” Laura frowned her brows and she couldn’t wait any longer. She
snapped the necks of the few mēn in the car and kicked open the car door, “Jump!” Laura said to Sage.
Both of them jumped off the vehicle simultaneously and rolled forward. “Run!” They had to be quick on
their feet and both of them ran for their lives. “Bang!” A loud explosion was heard and a heatwave
came in their direction. Laura and Sage both fell to the floor and they couldn’t get up for a moment. The
vehicle behind them was burnt down to bits; it was a massive explosion. Sage tried to get up and
turned around. Her ears were deafened from the explosion and her brain was all fuzzy. Memories
flashed back to three years ago. This was how her parents died.
Their bodies were burnt alive, and they couldn’t şalvage their remainings completely.
Suddenly, she couldn’t hear anything, perhaps someone was calling her name, embracing her,
but all Sage could see was a bright light, and then it turned pitch black. Sage fainted
