detail, every suspicion, and every observation, and it finally came all together…

Sage wanted to hide Doctor S from him, and she did – she was hiding herself.

Jace’s pupils turned red from being aghast and angry at the same time. He curled up his fists as a
reflex and he was trembling all over. He felt a severe ache from his heart, and it was so painful that he
bent down…
“Mr. Yuriel, are you okay?” Zayne quickly helped him out.
Jace’s lips turned white as if he just walked out of a cold storage. Sage lied to him again, and again,
and again. Sage didn’t care nor noticed Jace’s reaction. She followed Jim to Dean’s room to check on
his leg.
Looking at Jim’s worried face, Sage said, “It’s not a big issue. It’s quite normal to feel pain after
surgeries like these. I’ll prescribe some medication for the pain and infections, and don’t do any
rigorous exercises.”
Jim felt relieved after hearing Sage’s advice. Dean nodded and said, “Thank you, boss… Doctor Sage.”
He didn’t know what to call her anymore with her multiple identities.
Sage shuddered and said, “Just call me anything you like.” Jim said, “Miss Sage, you’re three years
older than my brother. We should call her Miss Sage out of respect.”
Dean’s face turned slightly red, “Don’t be ridiculous.” Jim looked innocent and he blinked his eyes, “I
think it’s cute to call her Miss Sage.”
Seeing as Dean was about to blush again, Jim looked up at Sage with a bright smile and said,” Miss
Sage, please don’t mind my brother. He always gets easily shy.”
Sage nodded in agreement and said, “As opposed to your thick skin, I see the difference.”
Jim was speechless. Dean chuckled upon hearing that.
Her medical team was still waiting for her in the conference room but Sage didn’t proceed with the
meeting and just told them she was going back to Salem City tonight. She looked at Jim and asked,
“Are you going back with me?”
Jim pursed his lips. It was about time he went back. His coach called a few times for practice, plus he
had classes to attend in school, and the restaurant needed him… But his brother…
Dean saw through him and said directly, “Just head back. I’ll have Ryan and the others to care for me,
I’ll be alright.”
Dean turned to Sage and said, “Miss Norah, please take him with you. Thank you.”
Sage nodded and said, “Alright. We still have some time later, you can get a few souvenirs back home
and share them with your classmates and colleagues.”
Jim nodded obediently, “Yes Miss Sage, will do.”
Dean caught the keyword and asked Jim as Sage left, “Colleagues? You’re working part-time without
my knowledge again?” Oh shit. His secret was leaked!
