Nigel and Luther glanced at each other and started nudging their sister. “Sage, since you’re in a
costume, you should perform.”
Sage immediately rejected their idea. “No way! I can’t sing or dance. What do you want me to do?
Magic?” Kane replied, “You could.” Sage threw a handful of peanuts in his direction in response. “Why
don’t you perform!” Nigel started complimenting his sister.
“What do you mean you don’t sing? You sing like a melodious lark. It’s true! Even Sean says you have
a unique voice. No one sings like you do.” Luther added, “Sage can dance too. There were plenty of
men who couldn’t take their eyes off her when she danced that time at Skye Hotel.”
Sage was unbothered by their compliments. “That was rave dancing! It’s not the same as proper
dancing.”
“It’s all the same to us.”
Nigel and Luther refused to give up on pestering their sister to at least perform something. She was not
allowed to end the night before doing so. Sage could not stand them anymore and threw the peanuts
back into the basket in her hands. She cleaned her hands and said, “Fine, I’ll sing! It’s no big deal. Just
don’t laugh!” “No, we won’t. We’ll even clap for you!”
Kane and Seth sat in the corner, munching on peanuts while watching their siblings banter. Kane asked
Seth a question in a low voice. “Did you bring it?” Seth whispered with the same low voice. “Of course I
did.”
Seth took out two pairs of earplugs and passed one to Kane. They secretly put in on. Luther and Nigel
requested Sage to sing her infamous rendition of ‘I Will Always Love You’. She cleared her throat and
started. “And I.”
Jim suddenly jumped into the kitchen. He thought an explosion had just occurred. Instead, he opened
the curtains and saw Sage holding a microphone, singing passionately with her eyes dosed
That was her singing…
When Sage finished , Luther and Nigel hid under the table with tears in their eyes. They were trying
hard to control their laughter so much that it hurt.
Kane and Seth had already taken the plugs out of their ears. They pretended to enjoy it.
Brava! Well done, sis!”
Sage put down the microphone. She had fun,
“I know I suck, but it can’t be this funny…” She dragged Luther and Nigel out of the table and punched
them each. Her brothers bullied her again, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. It’s just too funny…” Nigel and Luther
leaned on Jim and asked, “Hey Jim, what do you think of your grandmaster’s singing?” Jim wanted to
escape.
“I’d better go check on the dessert…” Luther and Nigel immediately caught him and said, “Don’t worry,
Jim. Just be honest.” Jim looked up at Sage, carefully selected his words, and asked seriously, “Miss
Sage, was your soundbox bitten by a dog when you were younger?” Sage was speechless. “Pfft!
Hahaha!”
All of her brothers began laughing hysterically. Sage lifted the cake and threw bits of cake to their
faces. Meanwhile, Jace stood outside Tasteful Restaurant with an umbrella in his hands as he watched
them having fun. He felt conflicted.
As he was about to enter the restaurant, Sage’s bodyguards blocked his way. “Sir, this restaurant is
booked for the day. Please leave.” Zayne explained their intentions. “We are here to send gifts…” The
bodyguards stood unfazed. “There’s no room left for gifts. You may come another day or leave it with
us. We will pass it to Miss Sage.” Zayne wanted to say something, but Jace stopped him.
“Let’s just go.” Five minutes later, Myles received a message on his phone. He walked out from the
backdoor and looked up. Zayne grabbed him and held him tightly. He then said with a smirk, “I’m sorry,
Master. I’ll need your uniform for a bit.
