By the time Sage stopped and turned around, Yeva had already fainted from the pain. She
frowned, went over, and lifted Yeva’s skirt to see a pool of blood. She immediately shouted, “Go to the
hospital now!” The bodyguard helped Yeva into the car. When they left, Sage looked at Julian, curled
up on the ground
She ordered with a cold voice, “Break both his hands and send him back to the Jefferson family. Don’t
let him die here. He will bring bad luck.”
“Argh!!”
A harsh cry pierced the night sky. About twenty minutes later, “Argh!!” Another pained cry came from
the abortion room.
Hunter and Leah hurried to the hospital immediately after receiving the news. They happened to hear
the scream. It sounded like the person screaming had exhausted their life’s strength. It was horrifying
“Sage.” Leah’s lips trembled: “Yeva, she’s…”
Sage’s pale face was impassive. She spoke indifferently like she was just stating a fact, “We couldn’t
save the baby.”
Oh, God.
Leah covered her mouth in shock. Hunter took her by the shoulders and comforted her softly, “Calm
down, calm down.”
Life was so fragile. With just a kick, the eight-week-old fetus was gone.
“Hunter,” Sage suddenly said in a low voice,
Hunter hurriedly answered and went over to ask if she had any instructions.
She asked coldly, “What’s the situation with Jefferson Group now?”
Hunter observed Sage’s expression and did not dare to give a vague answer. He knew what she
wanted to know and summarised everything into one sentence.
“I can bankrupt it at any time as long as I make a move.”
“Then what are you waiting for?”
Sage raised her eyes slightly. Her eyes were slightly red, and her voice was cold and harsh.” Waiting
for him to give birth?”
Hunter’s heart shuddered. He nodded at once. “Yes, I’ll get right on it!”
Before Jefferson Group went bankrupt, Wilson and his wife, Jane, came over to reprimand Sage. They
had just taken their son Julian into the operating room to get his broken hands and ribs fixed. When
they heard that Sage was in the hospital, they came rushing over.
“Sage!
Jou
Missus Jefferson was so distressed about her son that her eyes were red. She lost all her manners as
a lady and cursed at Sage like a madwoman.
She pointed her finger at Sage’s nose and berated, “You jinx! What did my son do to you? Why did you
beat him up? I’ll call the police to arrest you!”
Leah could not take it anymore and stepped in front of Sage. “Missus Jefferson , watch your words!”
Sage sat on the bench and smiled nonchalantly. She said in a soft and slow voice, “I’m merciful since I
let him live. I swear he won’t live past this all.”
Her words were too vicious. Missus Jefferson almost fainted from her anger. Mister Jefferson’s face
changed too.
“Sage, you’re too arrogant!” His face turned sour, “Don’t think I don’t know. My company is having a lot
of trouble because of you! You want to screw us, but it won’t be easy to bring us down!” “Is that so?”
Sage smiled wickedly and said with contempt, “Is that so? It’s not difficult at all?”
Wilson went speechless in anger. He almost lost his breath, and his heart was pounding quickly. How
could this d*mn girl be so arrogant!
He wanted to say more, but he was interrupted. The nurse pushed Yeva out of the abortion room.
Yeva’s face was pale and weak from the torture she had just endured.
“Yeva…” Leah went up to her and pushed Yeva into the ward with the nurse. It was so heartbreaking to
see the tears on her face.
Missus Jefferson immediately felt a sense of foreboding seeing Yeva’s face as pale as a ghost. “What
happened to her?”
