The car was quickly filled with a smell like urine.
Holmes must wet himself from being threatened.

Holmes immediately lodged a report to the police saying that someone attempted to murder him.
However, there were no obvious signs of injuries or bruises on his body and
the CCTV at the parking lot was somehow broken. Hence, there was no evidence to prove that he was
attacked.
He had no choice but to suffer in silence.
Holmes could not let it go and went straight to Yuriel‘s mansion. Counting on the fact that he was one o
f the seniors in the Yuriel
Group, he demanded that Grandpa Yuriel speak out for him. “I‘ve already heard about it.” Grandpa Yuri
el went on calmly, “Holmes, I thought that you‘d know better now since you‘ve been working for us for q
uite some time. But why are you proving yourself to be less wise than both of my grandsons?”
Holmes expected Grandpa Yuriel to comfort him but he was questioned instead. “Sir, what are you tryin
g to say?” Holmes could feel anger thrumming in his veins.
Simon Yuriel remained composed. “As one of the members of the board of directors, didn‘t you know b
etter that you shouldn‘t bad–mouth or spread rumors about the CEO?”
“What did I...” Holmes was about to defend himself but he was suddenly reminded of what he said and
could not bring himself to continue.
Simon glared at him sharply. “If you do something bad, people will inevitably
find out about it. I know that you tried to
set up Jace on several occasions when he was still around, but I turned a blind eye. And it‘s not becaus
e you are important to the company. It‘s because I want my grandson to learn that there are enemies e
verywhere and he should learn how to deal with people like you.” Holmes felt as if a bucket of cold wat
er was poured all over him.
“But, Sage is different.”
Simon‘s voice turned solemn. “I may have been able to turn a blind eye to my grandson‘s situation bec
ause I tried to teach him. Buy Sage did me a favor by taking the CEO position. Plus, the Yuriels are dee
ply indebted to her. So, how dare you go around spreading rumors and speak lowly of her? Do you thin
k I‘d allow that?”
Simon had his gaze fixed on Holmes as Holmes broke into a cold sweat.
“All these years, you embezzled the company‘s fund, traded secrets of the company, and it‘s
not even once or twice. I decided to let it go because you‘ve been with us for a long time, but...”
Simon paused and went on, “Once you leave Yuriel Group, you better buck up and watch yourself. If no
t, I will send all the
evidence to the relevant departments and you know better how you‘d end up, don‘t you?” Holmes felt a
s if he was struck by lightning.
He deeply regretted what he said earlier.

Holmes resigned
from his position as the sales department director. Even though he did not explain why he resigned, pe
ople came up with their reasons.
They guessed that Zachary only beat Holmes because he spread rumors about Sage.
Also, that Simon was the one who made Holmes resign from his position.
The employees figured that Sage was someone important to the Yuriels hence they decided to watch t
heir words.
After this incident, Zachary and Henry became more well–behaved. Sage, too,
slowly got used to the work in Yuriel Group.
Yale Yadeev was transferred from St Francis Hospital in Salem City to Samuel Health Centre in Nadee
m City. Sage wanted to visit him. “Are you going to the health center?” Luther did not have anything els
e better to do so he spent his time at Sage‘s office, playing games on his phone.
“Yeah.”
Sage put on her coat, changed into a pair of heels, and said, “He regained his consciousness for a few d
Captain Yale is doing.” “Let me come with you.”
Luther put away his phone and added, “And, stop addressing him as Captain Yale.” “Why?”
Luther replied, “With his injuries, we‘re not even sure if he‘d be able to fly a plane in the future. Aren‘t yo
Sage hesitated and thought that Luther was right.
“Then what should I call him?”
“Mister Yadeev, or just Yale...?” Luther responded.
Sage replied, “Address him by his first name?”
“Why not?”
“Nah.”
Sage added, “I prefer Iceman, it rolls off my tongue easily.”
