Tim said, “It‘s getting late. You should rest early.” “Okay,” Sage muttered softly, “Tim, good
night.” When she was about to hang up, there was a burst of noise from the
other side of the phone. Sage was stunned. Was that the... sound of the monitor?
“Tim, what‘s wrong?” She stopped in her track. ‘Tim‘s slightly low and raspy voice came from the other
end of the call. “He‘s awake.”
Yale woke up from the coma. His recovery was better than expected, but he still needed to stay in the
intensive care unit for further observation. Many broken bones in his body were fixed with steel plates a
nd steel pins. It would certainly hurt.
Even so, it was a blessing to be able to be awake and alive.
Sage could not leave immediately, so Ross and Nigel rushed over for the first time. Sage finally finishe
d her morning meeting. When she returned to her office, she saw Luther was on a video call with Nigel.
Luther immediately waved to Sage and called her over. “Come here, come! We’re talking about you!”
Sage walked
over and saw a crowd in the room. All her brothers were there. They surrounded Yale, who just woke u
p. “Hey, Captain Yale,” Sage greeted him and waved at him in the video call. She asked, “Do
you still remember me?”
Although Yale was awake, he was still unable to
get up. He lay on his back with a tube in his nose. He was pale and weak and unable to speak. He coul
d only look at the camera and moved his lips slightly. Nigel leaned in and listened to him. Then, he relat
ed Yale‘s words to Sage. “He‘s calling you little Sage.” “Little? I‘m not young anymore. I‘m old.” Howeve
r, it still sounded better than Sage‘s Collection.
Yale moved his lips again. Nigel leaned over to listen
and passed the message again. “He said you sang very well... You sang? And it was good?”
Kane said, “It can‘t be Sage‘s singing. It must be the music.”
Tim said, “I heard it. It‘s terrible.”
Tim then glanced at Yale again and said, “She‘s not a child anymore. She doesn‘t need any encourage
ment. Besides, her singing doesn‘t deserve any encouragement.”
Yale’s pale lips move moved a little. He smiled weakly.
Ross came to a sudden realization. “I wondered why he woke up suddenly. So he woke up in fright!” Th
e brothers laughed. Luther almost dropped his phone while laughing.
Sage‘s face was black. She simply ignored her ignorant brothers and told Yale, “Only Captain Yale can
appreciate singing. I‘ll sing for you again in the future. Get well soon. I‘ll come to visit when I‘m free.” Ya
le nodded slightly. He was exhausted again after a brief conversion. Nigel said that the patient needed t
o rest and kicked everyone out of the room. Luther disconnected the call too.
Meanwhile, Sage stood by the
sofa and did not move for a while. Her eyes remained fixed on a point in front of her. She was lost in he
r thoughts until Luther snapped his fingers in front of her eyes. “Why are you in a daze?” Sage returned
to her senses, but her face was still a little stunned. Luther observed her expression and asked, “Are y
ou thinking about Jace again?”
Sage pressed her lips and said nothing. She removed her high heels and slipped on the slippers. Then,
she sat down in her desk chair and said to Luther, “If
you‘re bored here, you can go back to Salem City first. I won‘t be able to go back for a while.”
She just came to Yuriel Group. There were so many things to do. She had so much on her mind that
she wanted to split herself into two.
“No need to go back,” Luther explained, “Tim said to observe Yale‘s situation in the next few days. Once
Sage raised her head. “A transfer?”
“Yes. He‘ll be transferred to Nadeem City.”
Luther said, “Ross said it‘ll better to transfer him to Samuel Health Center in Nadeem City for future reha
