with a stubborn mind, Primrose said, “This is my daughter‘s film debut. If I had known she
was so good at acting, I would train her to be a child star.”
Sawyer could not
help and refuted, “Chitose had told you so many times. You were the one who was against it.”
She said, staring at Sawyer with her teary eyes, “I was just trying to protect her. You were the one who
had to bring her everywhere you did. So scared that she would fall down or accidentally knock over so
mething. So protective of her. You won‘t even allow me to scold her or punish her. You are not qualified
to be commenting on me!” Sawyer was not a match for his wife. “Hmph!” Primrose replied the same thi
ng, “Hmph!” Both of them acted like a pair of primary students fighting over something childish. Jack sh
ook his head and sighed. Then he whispered to Jace, “This is why I don‘t want to get married. Too ann
oying.”
“Oh really? I think it‘s very interesting.” Jace‘s eyes were sparkling as he was very jealous of the chemi
stry between Primrose and Sawyer. Every couple would fight. However, a petty fight because of love w
ould not break the couple apart, but it added a little spice to their peaceful life.
No wonder Sage would have such expectations of love and would love someone with all of her heart. S
he had
been living such a happy family, being surrounded by love, being loved and spoiled. No matter how bad
her situation was, there would always be a warm and loving place where her family would love and su
pport her.
Jace could not remember such a loving
and happy moment with his parents. Maybe there was when he was very little. After that, it was just en
dless bickering and fighting, plate throwing, and the intention to hurt each other to fulfill their satisfactio
n in taking revenge.
He would often squat in the corner of the room as he listened to his parents‘ endless fighting. He listen
ed to his father slamming the door and his mother crying as her body shivered in the corner.
It was then he thought what the purpose of people getting married was. Why would they want to contin
ue living as a couple in such a painful marriage?
After Primrose was finally satisfied with watching her daughter, she replayed the movie to watch his so
n and daughter–in–
law again. The more she watched, the more satisfied she was with Seth and Suki. When she saw the t
orturing scene, she started crying again. She ended up like a lunatic, crying and laughing interchangea
bly.
Sawyer passed the tissue over quietly. Primrose took the tissue to wipe away the tears while she shrug
ged. “I don‘t care. I’ve already missed Nigel‘s wedding, and I‘m not going to miss Seth‘s wedding! I wan
t to take lots of photos!”
Sawyer walked over and let Primrose lean on him. Then he stroked her head and said, “Okay, we will.”
Everything was in place. The people who needed to be rid of would eventually be settled.
It was another busy day. Sage had just finished her shower and came out of the bathroom. She started
